Hobonichi Weeksdays Daily Desktop Calendar 2027

A photograph a day for the whole of 2027, from weeksdays, the lifestyle shop stylist Masako Ito runs as part of Hobonichi. This is its fifth year. Weekdays and Saturdays carry Ito's own photographs; the cover and the holidays are by Suguru Ariga, who shoots most of what weeksdays publishes, styled by Ito. Each is printed with nothing but the date and the day.

Which picture falls on which day was decided by Ito rather than left to the calendar, so flipping through it reads as a year passing rather than a stack of images. The format is polaroid-sized and the photographs are printed at about that scale, on paper thin enough that 365 of them come to three centimetres. It will sit flat on a desk or stand up on the included backing card, which folds into a stand.

The pages are meant to be taken off and used. They paste into a techo, take a memo on the back, work as a small notepad, pin to a wall, or go onto a jar to date a batch of preserves.
