Tragen takes its name from the German for carrying, and that is the whole design brief: a Weeks cover that brings your pens and paper along with the book. It folds into thirds and shuts on a magnet, and despite everything it holds it comes in at 85 g.
The outside carries a gusseted zip pocket with real depth to it, lined in beige, with a leather pull on the zip. Inside there is a leather pocket on the right and five card slots on the left, plus a clip-style pen hook. A further pocket on the back takes tickets or a small notebook where you can reach them without opening anything, and a HANDWRITE tag finishes it. The magnet is hidden and backed with a leather patch so it closes softly rather than snapping.
Black is the plain one. Bitter Plaid is a brown check with beige and dark brown, with a thin light blue line, restrained enough for an office.
