Hobonichi Weeks Cover: Leather - Taut (Gray & Light Blue)

Taut is the leather series cut to sit close around the book rather than loose, and this is the first time it has been made in a Weeks size. The hide is Seta Double, chrome-tanned from European stock by Poletto in northern Italy; seta is Italian for silk, which is the point of the name, and the grain is fine enough that scuffs do not show the way they do on a smooth finish.

The front is a warm grey and the back a cool light blue, two tones achieved on a single piece of leather rather than by seaming two together. Inside there is a slit pocket sized for business cards and a clip-style pen hook on the right, and it comes with a small bookmark cut from the same hide and stamped in gold foil. Being natural leather, no two are alike.
