A soft PVC cover built around a clear front pocket, light enough that it barely registers against the book. The name comes from the aileron, the hinged flap on an aircraft wing, after the way the cover's own flap folds across and snaps shut.
The clear pocket is the part you will use: a card or a sheet of stickers behind it changes the whole look, and it will hold sticky notes or a ruler where you can see them. Inside on the right is a pocket for cards and tickets with a clip-style pen hook; on the left a flap you can leave between pages as a bookmark. The back carries a second full-width pocket. A short line about handwriting is foil-stamped on the front. The Gray flap is textured to feel like leather, and the foil is gold.
