A Clear Cover goes straight over a Weeks book rather than over a cover. It protects the book through a year of being carried and puts a design on it at the same time. Books whose own covers contain PVC, leather or faux leather are not suitable, since the two surfaces can mark each other. This one carries Keiko Shibata's Dog Ears Fluttering in the Wind.
Dog Ears Fluttering in the Wind comes from a series Keiko Shibata drew in 2022 on the theme of wind. A dog faces into a strong gust with its ears flat out behind it, eyes gone round, fur pushed back. From across a room the cover reads as a dot pattern; up close it is seven different dogs repeating on the diagonal. It is drawn in oil pastel, and the range of colour in it means it sits happily over any cover colour.
