Hobonichi Weeks 2027 (Japanese): Yumi Kitagishi - White Cat Wallpaper

The Weeks is Hobonichi's slim, pocketable planner: a weekly horizontal spread on the left, a full page of grid memo on the right, in a book narrow enough to live in a jacket pocket. This is illustrator Yumi Kitagishi's fourth cover for Hobonichi. The pattern is built like wallpaper: a white cat, two swans in formal dress, a black cat in a maid's uniform and a grand house, repeating across the book. Dollhouse interiors are a recurring subject in her work, and the cover reads as one.

The year, a thin line of small flowers and leaves down the spine, and a ribbon with lily of the valley are all foil-pressed in matte gold, which keeps the shine low and the drawing forward.
