Hobonichi Weeks 2027 (Japanese): Liberty Fabrics - Floral Remedy

The Weeks is Hobonichi's slim, pocketable planner: a weekly horizontal spread on the left, a full page of grid memo on the right, in a book narrow enough to live in a jacket pocket. This one is wrapped in printed fabric from Liberty Fabrics, the London house that has been printing cotton since the 1880s. Floral Remedy was drawn by hand in the Liberty studio in pencil and watercolour, and its subject is plants used as remedies: chamomile, apple blossom, lily of the valley, St John's wort, wild violet and cranberry, arranged as a quiet herbal garden.

The cloth is Tana Lawn, Liberty's own fine cotton, developed in the 1920s and unusually smooth for the weight. The year appears on the front and the spine and the Hobonichi name on the back, all foil-pressed in matte silver.
