The Weeks is Hobonichi's slim, pocketable planner, and this edition belongs to Frederick, Leo Lionni's field mouse who gathers sun rays, colours and words while the rest of the colony gathers food for winter. The book turns 60 in 2027, and Lionni's torn-paper collage is reproduced here at techo scale.
The Poet design sets Frederick small and seen from behind against a white ground that reads like an open picture book page, with poppies and a red spine for contrast. The year is foiled in red on the front and white on the spine, and the back cover carries the handwritten Frederick lettering from the book's endpapers, printed in a bright silver-grey.
