Made with art director Yoshie Watanabe, who is behind the fashion brand CACUMA. Small flowers in many colours are woven into a deep navy cloth rather than printed onto it, which gives the cover a soft, faintly formal look, and a single red line runs down the spine to cut it.
The pockets and the butterfly-stopper pen holders have been taken off deliberately, leaving a clip-style pen hook and very little bulk. The lining is faux leather with the artist's initials embossed in gold and the Hobonichi mark blind-embossed beside them, the bookmarks are velour-finished ribbon in red and blue, and there is a short message hidden in the slot the book slides into.
