Hobonichi Techo Cover: Folio - Ocean Blue

Folio means folded in two, and that is the whole cover: a cloth jacket you slide the book's front and back boards into, with nothing else going on. At 34 g in A6 it is the lightest way to cover a techo, and it adds almost no thickness.

The cloth is a firm cotton with a polyurethane coating, so it stays smooth but takes handling. There is one card pocket in the left sleeve and one bookmark, and that is the extent of the storage. In place of a built-in pen holder it comes with a separate elastic band: a natural leather patch stamped HANDWRITE grips a thicker pen while the elastic loop takes a slim one, and the band doubles as the thing that stops the techo falling open in a bag.

The blue is named for the ocean, and the spine carries a short line about writing and drawing beside a sailing ship.
