Hobonichi Pencil Board: V&A Series

A pencil board slides under the page you are writing on. It gives the paper something firm to sit against, so it stops the pressure of your writing embossing itself into the sheet underneath. This set was made with the V&A in London, and each size draws on a different part of the museum's own history rather than its art collection.

Features

• Three sizes, one per techo: A6 for the Original, A5 for the Cousin, and a narrow one for the Weeks

• A6 is 155 x 103 mm (6.1 x 4.1 in), A5 is 215 x 147 mm (8.5 x 5.8 in), Weeks is 187 x 88 mm (7.4 x 3.5 in), all 0.4 mm thick

• A different piece of the museum's history on each size, not a repeated design

• Colour-blocked reverses: mint green on A6, sax blue on A5, grey on Weeks

• A 1 mm scale printed down the long edge of the back, so it doubles as a ruler

• A Today tab on the corner, so it works as a bookmark while it sits in the book

• Yupo synthetic paper, 6 to 13 g depending on size, so it adds nothing to the book
