The plain Hobonichi notebook, made in 2019 after people asked for a book that felt like the techo without being dated. Same Tomoe River paper, same 3.7 mm grid as the Original, and it opens flat, so it is the obvious companion to a techo you have already committed to.
One detail earns its keep over a long book: the grid changes colour every 60 pages in A6 and every 72 in A5, cycling red, blue, green and purple. That gives an undated notebook natural divisions, so you can run four themes in one book or find an old entry by remembering roughly what colour it was.
