Hobonichi Fireside Chat Notebook

A small notebook built around Safety Match, the source of many of the short daily quotes in the Hobonichi Techo. Hobonichi has never said who writes them, and has kept that up since the very first issue of its website, so the name sits somewhere between a byline and a running joke. Each of the four rulings carries a different one of those quotes, and the page design is drawn from what the quote is about rather than decorating around it.

The Graph pages take a passage about the calendar and the single day, and print the word today in the corner of every page. The Lined pages come from a passage on handwriting as a way of letting the mind wander, and some of the rules are drawn slightly rounded and uneven, as though ruled by hand. Dot Grid and Blank each have their covers colour-coded to match.
