A leather cover made only for the 5-Year Techo, and the five-year span is the reason it is leather: tanned cow hide darkens and softens as it is handled, so a cover you pick up every day until 2031 ends up looking like yours rather than like stock.
The design gets out of the way. The front carries the book's name and nothing else, the Hobonichi mark is pressed into the lower left of the interior, and the pen hook on the inside right takes a pen by its clip; its opening is 8 mm, so an unusually wide clip will not fit. The spine has been skived, thinned by hand on the inside, so the cover closes properly instead of bowing.
Expect it to sit proud of the book at first: the leather is firm and needs breaking in, after which it lies flat. Two colourways, Natural and Red, each in A5 and A6.
